I would like to ride a bicycle on the National Mall. I am not brave enough to get on the C&O canal about 5 miles from my house and ride the bike all the way to DC. I am overjoyed reading that DC will soon have its own Bike Sharing service. See the NY Times article. The service is called SmartBike and costs $40 a year for membership. A bike meetup on the Mall anyone?
